So you've heard about worm castings and you're curious. Maybe a friend swears by them, or you stumbled across SuperPoop and thought "worm poop, really?" Yes, really. And here's how to get started.
What You'll Need
- A bag of SuperPoop Pure Worm Castings
- Your plants (any plants!)
- A garden trowel or your hands (gloves optional)
Three Ways to Use Worm Castings
1. Top Dressing
The easiest method. Simply spread a 1/4 to 1/2 inch layer of castings around the base of your plants. Water it in and let nature do the rest.
2. Soil Amendment
When planting, mix 15-25% worm castings into your soil. This works great for garden beds, containers, and raised beds.
3. Worm Tea
Steep castings in water for 24-48 hours (with aeration) to create a nutrient-rich liquid fertilizer you can spray directly on leaves and soil.
How Much to Use
Here's the best part: you can't overdo it. Worm castings won't burn your plants no matter how much you use. That said, a little goes a long way.
